A bunch of things that I’ve heard as school gets underway…

• I have heard that Marywood (PA) assistant Jon Showers will become an assistant at York (PA).  He will replace Nate Bollinger who just became the director of player development at High Point.  Showers is a York native who has also coached with the York Ballers (AAU).

• Speaking of Marywood…I am very surprised that they have not announced a new coach yet.  We have been following this search closely (Marywood Dirt), and thought there would have been some news by now.  It does sound like at least one of the finalists has now withdrawn from consideration.  More on this as I hear it.

• Speaking of schools who have still not hired…The situation at Hunter is a complete mystery.  This job has been open since the end of May, and we reported that on-campus interviews took place in early August (DIII Dirt).  I get two or three questions a day about this one – no idea why the process has stalled.  Maybe something soon??

• I have heard that Dominique Taylor is headed to Chipola JC (FL) as an assistant.  He would replace Shelby Lindley who became an assistant at the College of Southern Idaho a few weeks ago (JUCO Dirt: CSI).  Taylor has been an assistant at South Alabama, Daytona State, and Neosho CC.

• It sounds like Keith Richardson Jr. has been hired as an assistant at Brown Mackie College (KS).   Richardson is a former assistant at Central Arkansas and was also a GA Southwestern Oklahoma State.

• I have heard that former Nichols College (MA) standout Ryan Sheehan has become an assistant at WPI.  Sheehan, who was a D3Hoops.com first team all region player, was also a finalist for the Jostens award following his senior season.  He finished his career with 2106 points.
