Evansville head coach Marty Simmons is on the hunt to fill two assistant spots on his staff.  I’ve heard from a great source that there are two leaders for these spots are former Nevada associate head coach Doug Novsek and former SIU-Edwardsville head coach Lennox Forrester.  Novsek had been at Nevada since 2006, and has also been an assistant at Nebraska, Illinois State, Southwest Texas, and Indiana State.  Novsek and Simmons were teammates back in the early 1980’s at Lawrenceville High School (Ill).  Forrester spent seven seasons as the head coach at SIUE before being released this off season.  He has also been an assistant at Evansville (1992-2002), and actually took over at SIUE when Simmons departed for Evansville back in 2007.
