  • Coaches have gone wild in the American Athletic Conference with three ejections in the past two nights. Tuesday night, Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin was ejected for arguing a shot clock issue. Last night, both UConn head coach Dan Hurley, and Tulsa head coach Frank Haith were booted for arguing…with each other! The fairly amusing video of the scene can be viewed HERE.

  • Pretty good article from the Washington Post on Maine head coach Richard Barron, and his journey to become the Black Bears head coach. He’s one of the few coaches ever to coach the men’s and women’s teams at a DI school, and is back on the sidelines after a serious illness. The full story can be found HERE.

  • There are a lot of young coaches out there looking to advance in the business. Here’s a great article from the Charlotte Observer on Hornets head coach James Borrego and his journey from Video Coordinator to NBA head coach.

  • Niagara assistant coach Marc Rybczyk was diagnosed with cancer back in late October. The Times Union recently profiled him, and the support that he is receiving from his fiance, current Siena head women’s basketball coach Ali Jaques. You can read the full story HERE.

  • Jeff Klein netted the 400th win of his career at Chaffey College with a win over El Camino College. Klein, who is in his 18th season with the Panthers, is 400-155 overall since taking over at Chaffey 2001.

  • Davidson County CC (NC) head coach Matt Ridge picked up the 300th win of his career last night with a 101-88 win against Fayetteville Tech. Ridge is now 300-66 in his 11+ seasons at DCCC.
