I can confirm that Mark Downey will be named as an assistant at IPFW.  Downey spent last season as an assistant at Bowling Green, and has also been the head coach at West Alabama, Charleston (WVa.), Arkansas Tech, and Independence CC.  He will replace Ben Betts who became an assistant at Georgia Southern this past spring.  I have also heard that current IPFW assistant Ryan Sims will be promoted to associate head coach by head coach Jon Coffman.  Sims will be entering his fifth season on the Mastodons staff.
