HOT DII DIRT: IPFW assistant Mark Downey to be named Head Basketball Coach at Northeastern State
HoopDirt.com can confirm that IPFW assistant Mark Downey will become the next head basketball coach at DII Northeastern State (OK). The move will be made official once Downey clears the HR process, which is expected early next week. Before becoming an assistant at IPFW, Downey had a ton of success as a DII head coach.

I can confirm that Mark Downey will be named as an assistant at IPFW. Downey spent last season as an assistant at Bowling Green, and has also been the head coach at West Alabama, Charleston (WVa.), Arkansas Tech, and Independence CC.
