HoopDirt.com can confirm that Brandon Giles will be named as the new head basketball coach at Polk State College. He will replace Matt Furjanic who resigned earlier this spring after 17 seasons as the head coach at PSC.
Giles is a Polk County (FL) native who played at Western Carolina. He was voted the 2006 Polk County Player of the Year at Auburndale (FL) HS. After graduation from Western Carolina, he played professionally overseas. Giles father, Josh, was the head coach at Polk State from 1987-1999 where he compiled a 248-146 record.
An official announcement is expected shortly.
