Gus Hauser has resigned as an assistant coach at Louisiana Lafayette. It sounds like he will be joining his family’s business in Kentucky. The veteran DI assistant joined Bob Marlin’s staff back in 2013 after spending two seasons as the associate head coach at Wofford. Hauser has also worked at Coastal Carolina, ULM, New Mexico State and Louisville. I have heard that his replacement will be Josten Crowe. Last season, Crowe served as the Director of Student-Athlete Development at Louisiana Lafayette. Earlier this spring, HoopDirt.com reported that Crowe would be headed back to his alma mater, Sam Houston State as an assistant coach (Daily Dirt – 6/3/16). That is no longer the case now that Hauser has departed and opened a spot for Crowe at ULL. More on these moves when they become official.
