Marist Basketball Staff Update

Head coach John Dunne of the Marist men’s basketball program has finalized his coaching staff. Matt Henry, Serge Clement, and Kevin Driscoll will be the Red Foxes’ assistant coaches, and Dalip Bhatia will serve as Director of Men’s Basketball Operations.

“We have great chemistry,” Dunne said. “It’s a hard-working group that complements each other well. The ability of the staff to remain intact is a positive for us, and I’m happy to announce the addition of Kevin Driscoll, who has had prior relationships with the guys on our staff. He’ll be a great addition.”

Henry worked for Dunne at Saint Peter’s for the previous five seasons. He previously worked at Mount Saint Mary’s from 2010-12, and served as acting head coach for the final four games of the 2011-12 season, posting a record of 2-2. He is a 2009 graduate of Potsdam State, where he played his final two seasons, and then earned a Master’s degree from SUNY Cortland. He also has extensive experience working summer camps.

Last season, Driscoll served as assistant coach at Loyola University Maryland. He was an assistant coach at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in the 2016-17, and was an assistant at Holy Cross from 2013-16. In the 2015-16 season, the Crusaders won four straight road games to capture the Patriot League Tournament championship, and then won an opening-round NCAA Tournament game. Driscoll has four years of experience as Director of Hoop Group Elite Camp and began his coaching career with three years as an assistant at Albright University. In his playing career, he was a four-year letterwinner at Misericordia University.

Bhatia had two stints as an assistant coach for Dunne at Saint Peter’s from 2008-13, and the 2017-18 season. He worked at his alma mater, Rutgers University, for three seasons from 2013-16.
