Christopher Newport University Men’s Basketball Coach John Krikorian announced today the promotion of Logan Miller to the position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach.

Miller, a native of Manassas, Va., graduated from Christopher Newport in May of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He has served on Krikorian’s staff since the 2019-2020 season in a limited capacity, but will now take on a vast array of responsibilities including coaching, recruiting, and scouting.

Miller was a member of the CNU men’s basketball squad for five seasons, including a redshirt 2016-17 campaign that ended due to injury. Miller returned to the squad in 2017-18 and saw action in 15 games. He also contributed as a senior during the 2018-2019 campaign, seeing time in 16 games.

“We are thrilled to welcome Logan Miller back to CNU in a full time capacity,” Krikorian said. “Logan was a leader on the court and in the locker room all five years he was in Captains’ uniform, and I’m confident he will continue to grow and make a positive impact on our current players and our community.”

In all, the guard saw time in 64 games with Christopher Newport, and was a member of the first two Final Four squads in school history. He will now work closely on the Captains sideline with fellow assistant Roland Ross, who also ascended into a full-time coaching position on the CNU bench following his playing days as a Captain.

“I’m extremely passionate about Christopher Newport University and our men’s basketball program,” Miller said. “I appreciate this great opportunity to give back to the program that has given me so much over the years. I’m looking forward to great success for the Captains on the court and in the classroom.”
