Goar Named as first-ever Head Basketball Coach at Texas A&M University-Texarkana
Charles Goar has been named as the first-ever head men’s basketball coach at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Goar had served as the head coach at the University of the Southwest from 2013-18. Cal Poly is expected to name John Smith as their next head basketball coach at a 4:00pm press conference on Thursday. Smith has been the associate head coach at Cal State Fullerton for the past six seasons. Before that, he went 96-87 (.693) in nine seasons as the head coach at Riverside City College (CA).
