According to multiple reports, including one from the Courier & Press, Evansville will hire Butler assistant David Ragland as their new head coach.

The Evansville native was hired at Butler last spring, and retained this off-season when Thad Matta took over. Has also been an assistant at Utah St., Valpo, Northern Kentucky, Indiana State, and Bowling Green.

This is not his first time as a head coach – from 2008-10, he was the head coach at Vincennes, where he went 44-19.

Ragland was listed as a 9/1 favorite back on May 9th by HoopDirt.
