I can confirm multiple reports, including one from Jeff Goodman, that John Gallagher will be named as the next head basketball coach at Manhattan. I have heard that he has been offered the job, and contract details are currently being finalized. An official announcement is expected later today.

Gallagher spent 12 seasons as the head coach at Hartford before resigning prior to this season (as UHart made the decision to go D3). Gallagher compiled 169-207 (.449) record in his time with the Hawks, including an America East Championship and an NCAA appearance in 2021. He also worked as an assistant at La Salle, Lafayette, and Penn.
