According to a TWEET from NBA reported Marc Stein, Rasheed Wallace is a “prime candidate” to join Penny Hardaway’s staff at Memphis as an assistant coach.
Wallace, the 4th pick in the 1995 NBA Draft was a four-time All-Star during his sixteen seasons in the league. He has been coaching high school basketball in North Carolina over the past few years.
The UNC alum would be inline to join fellow Tar Heel (and former UNC head coach) Larry Brown at Memphis. Hardaway hired the 80-year old coaching vet as an assistant earlier this summer.
