According to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, T.J. Otzelberger “is leaving the program to accept the same job at Iowa State.” The LVRJ’s Sam Gordon cites two sources who “characterized the coach’s departure as a ‘done deal,’ barring a change at the eleventh hour.”
Otzelberger, who served two separate stints as an assistant coach at Iowa State, has put together a 29-30 (.492) record in his two seasons at UNLV. He also spent three seasons as the head coach at South Dakota State, where he went 70-33 (.680).
