REPORT: West Virginia’s Huggins won’t coach team in 2023-24

According to a TWEET by Jeff Goodman, Bob Huggins has informed his team that he won’t be coaching them this season:

The Goodman report does not clarify if this is a retirement, firing, or a one year suspension.

Huggins was arrested yesterday on a DUI charge in Pittsburgh. He was also fined and suspended back in May following a radio appearance where he used anti-gay slurs.

The veteran head coach, who has been at West Virginia for the past 16-season, owns a 935-414 (.693) career record in 41-seasons.

More on this story as it continues to develop.
