Rollinson added to Missouri-St. Louis Basketball Staff

University of Missouri-St. Louis head men’s basketball coach Bob Sundvold has announced the hiring of Rob Rollinson as an assistant coach.

Rollinson comes to UMSL from University of Texas at Tyler where he spent last season as an assistant coach.

“We are excited to have Rob join our UMSL Men’s basketball program,” Sundvold said. “He comes highly recommended and is familiar with the GLVC and Division II with a national perspective. HIs background and experiences will prove helpful in developing and mentoring our student-athletes, as well as broadening our recruiting efforts.”

Prior to his appointment at UT-Tyler, Rollinson was an assistant coach at GLVC rival Lewis University during the 2021-22 season. He was part of a program that went 16-11 including 12-5 in the GLVC and advanced to the semifinal round of the GLVC Tournament.

Rollinson spent a year as an assistant coach at Park University in Gilbert, Arizona and before that he was an assistant coach at the University of St. Francis for one season in Joliet, Ill.

He began his coaching career as an assistant at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Ariz.

Rollinson received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grand Canyon in 2019 and his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University in 2022.
