Following up on something that I tweeted earlier tonight…

I can confirm that Sam Houston State assistant Chuck Taylor has departed the staff and will enter the private sector. Taylor had been on the Bearkats staff since 2016. Prior to coming to SHSU, he served as an assistant at North Carolina Central and also spent five seasons as the head coach Paris Junior College (TX).

Taylor is the second assistant that the Bearkats have lost this off season. Back in June, Kyle Campbell left to become an assistant at Coffeyville CC (KS). He has since been replaced by former Oklahoma State standout Phil Forte.
