Some things that I heard from the great state of Florida…

• It sounds like new Florida head coach Michael White will bring assistants Darris Nichols and Jordan Mincy with him from Louisiana Tech.  I have also heard that Associate head coach Dusty May will have a spot on the Gators staff if he does not get the gig at La. Tech.

• I have heard that Anthony Grant will be headed to Oklahoma City with former Florida head coach Billy Donovan.  Grant re-joined Donovan’s staff earlier this spring after being released as the head coach at Alabama.  Grant had spent 10 years as an assistant to Donovan at Florida (1996-2006) before becoming the head coach at VCU and then Alabama.

• I can confirm that Northwest Florida State has hired Jake Williams as an assistant coach.  Williams spent last season as the director of basketball operations at North Carolina Central.  Prior to that, he was a student assistant at Middle Tennessee State.

• I have heard from multiple sources that a change has been made at Ave Maria (FL).  More on this one as I hear it…
