The NCAA Infractions Appeal Committee issued a ruling today on the nine-game suspension which was imposed on Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim back in March. The appeal of the suspension was denied, but the NCAA did rule that Boeheim can begin serving the suspension immediately instead of waiting for the start of ACC conference play.
Syracuse University Chancellor Kent Syverud today announced he has formally named Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Hopkins as head coach-designate. Hopkins will succeed Coach Jim Boeheim following the 2017-18 men’s basketball season. In March, Boeheim announced that he will retire in three years. “For more than 25 years, Mike Hopkins has demonstrated the true meaning
