Temple assistant Chris Clark suspended

Temple Assistant coach Chris Clark has also been suspended by the University for providing impermissible benefits to student-athletes according to a press release. The veteran assistant coach is slated to return to the program on Dec. 11.

In an unrelated move, Temple also announced that guard Lynn Greer III has been suspended nine games for NCAA rule violations which occurred “while he was attending his previous NCAA institution.” The Owls senior had spent the previous two seasons at St. Joe’s after beginning his career at Dayton.

“The Temple men’s basketball program will support Lynn and Chris through their suspensions and will welcome them back in December,” head coach Adam Fisher wrote in a statement. “We acknowledge that they made these mistakes and it is unfortunate, but they are part of our family and we will get through this together.”

Clark has been an assistant at Temple since 2016, working for three head coaches during his tenure (Fisher, Aaron McKie, and Fran Dunphy). The 2008 Temple grad and Philly native played for Hall-of-Famer John Chaney during his first two seasons with the Owls.
