Huntington University head coach Ty Platt has announced the hiring of Tyler Braidic as an assistant coach for the Forester men’s basketball program.

Braidic has been in the coaching ranks since 2010 having most recently served as a graduate assistant at NCAA Division II Hawaii Pacific University for two seasons where he was responsible for guard preparation and play, recruiting, scouting and pre and post season workouts.

Prior to Hawaii Pacific, Braidic spent two years as an assistant at NCAA Division II Tusculum College and one season as an assistant at NJCAA Division II Columbus State Community College in addition to serving as the head coach of the Columbus Hawks U16 AAU Team in 2011.

“We are very pleased to have Tyler join our program,” said HU Head Coach Ty Platt. “Tyler’s work ethic, character and attention to detail will fit perfectly with our team both on and off the court. We feel his experience as both a player and coach at the college level will make a strong impact on our players and program.”

Braidic has a BA in biology from Bluffton University and an MA in communications from Hawaii Pacific. He and his wife Rebecca reside in Huntington.
