I just wanted to give an update on the event that Oakland Head Coach Greg Kampe is running in conjunction with the American Cancer Society.
Kampe, who has been the head coach at Oakland for the past 31-years, has organized a one of a kind weekend, including golf and dinner with ten of the top college basketball coaches in the country. He is utilizing the friends that he has made in the business over his long career to do a great thing for cancer research. Here’s the link to my original article: Greg Kampe’s Beat Cancer Event.
The deadline to bid on a coach to play golf with has been extended until May 6th. Here are the updated standings:
Tom Izzo – Michigan State – $17,000
Steve Alford – UCLA – $15,000
Roy Williams – North Carolina – $15,000
John Beilein – Michigan – $14,000
Bob Huggins – West Virginia – $14,000
Josh Pastner – Memphis – $11,000
Rick Barnes – Tennessee – $10,000
John Calipari – Kentucky – $10,000
Sean Miller – Arizona – $10,000
Come on Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arizona fans…are you really going to let your guys bring up the rear here??
Please help us spread the word about this event, and get people to bid for a great cause!
