The Horizon League has been like the Wild West this off-season with coaching changes made at Wright State, Milwaukee, and Detroit. After much speculation, HoopDirt.com can now confirm that the job that many thought would open – Youngstown State, will not. Head coach Jerry Slocum will return for the 2016-17 season as the option on his contract has been picked up by the school. Slocum is coming off of back-to-back 11 win seasons, and has compiled a 129-221 record in his 12 years at YSU. In his 41 seasons as a head coach, he has amassed over 700 wins – with coaching stops at Gannon (179-78), Geneva (203-80), and Nyack (199-166).
