Just following up on a few tings…

• I reported last week that the finalists at DII Simon Fraser were Nate Philippe and Virgil Hill (DII Dirt – 4/6/15).  I can now confirm that Virgil Hill will be the choice.  Hill was most recently the head coach at the Collingwood School in Canada. He is a Simon Fraser alum who has also been the head coach at Laurentian University (Ontario).  The official announcement will be made today.

• Yesterday I mentioned that I had heard that Indian River State College (FL) was open.  I can now confirm that head coach Joe Sanchez will retire effective May 1st.  The search is already under way.

• On Monday, I mentioned that I had heard that Lander (SC) head coach Jeff Burkhamer was the leader for West Florida (Daily Dirt II – 4/13/15).  I have now heard from multiple sources that this is a done deal.  Look for an announcement in the next day or two.

• Some DI assistants on the move…more later today….
