Kasey Riley joins the Rusty Osborne’s Alaska Anchorage coaching staff for the 2015-16 season as he makes the transition from junior college to the NCAA level.
The native of Rock Springs, Wyo., comes to UAA after four years as an assistant coach at Casper College, where he helped the Thunderbirds to two North sub-region championships and a Region IX runner-up finish in 2012. During Riley’s tenure at Casper, the program produced nine Div. I signees, three of which have gone on to the professional ranks.
As a player, he suited up two years for Sheridan College from 2005-07, helping the Generals to the NJCAA Region IX title and national tournament bid his freshman season. Riley went on to from 2007-09 at NAIA program Lewis-Clark State, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2010.
Riley was also a two-time all-state selection as a prep standout at Rock Springs High School.
