HoopDirt.com can now confirm reports that Georgia Tech assistant Tavares Hardy will become the next head coach at Loyola (MD). He replaces GG Smith who “resigned” back on March 8th.

Hardy spent the past two seasons on Josh Pastner’s staff, and has also been an assistant at Georgetown and Northwestern. He was one of three finalists for the position along with Xavier’s Luke Murray (headed to Louisville?) and Villanova’s Ashley Howard (in the mix at La Salle).
