BREAKING: Gottfried to NC State

Multiple sources are reporting that former Alabama head coach Mark Gottfried will be the next coach at NC State. Gottfried’s career record is 278–155 overall. He was 210–132 at Alabama. It sounds like the announcement will be made tonight at 5:00pm.

Towson Hires Pitt Assistant Pat Skerry

Towson has hired Pittsburgh assistant Pat Skerry as its new men’s basketball coach. A press conference will be held Tuesday afternoon. Skerry just finished his first season at Pittsburgh, he has spent time has an assistant at Providence (2008-10), Rhode Island (2005-08), College of Charleston (2003-05), William & Mary (2000-03) and Northeastern University (1998-2000).

Miami’s Haith to Missouri

Wait, what?? I woke up this morning and saw this…. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/mizzou/article_23dbec… Haith was 129-101 with one NCAA Tournament appearance in seven seasons and a 43-69 record in Atlantic Coast Conference play — including just 10-22 the last two seasons. I guess he’s not on the "hot seat" at Miami anymore.

Breaking: Utah Hires Coach

New Jersey Nets assistant Larry Krystkowiak signed a multi-year contract late Saturday night to become the new head coach of the Utes. Krystkowiak played for the Utah Jazz in 1992-93. He was 42-20 in two seasons at the helm of his alma mater Montana. He was also head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Sounds like Lamar is down to 8 Finalist for the job, we were hearing that Central Oklahoma coach Terry Evans is the leader but who knows at this point, the job has thought to been offered twice already but A.D. BREAKING: Missouri State to hire Lusk

Purdue assistant Paul Lusk will be officially introduced as the next head coach at Missouri State. A 1:30pm news conference is scheduled for tomorrow. Lusk, who has spent the last seven seasons at Purdue, will sign a five year contract. He replaces Cuonzo Martin who became the head coach at Tennessee.
