Conner Byrne joins the Regis men’s basketball program as an assistant coach starting in the 2024-25 academic year.
Byrne served as a graduate assistant coach at New England College in 2023-24, assisting with administrative and academic duties as well as on-court development and skill development of players. He also generated scouting reports, ran film sessions, and assisted with on-campus recruiting visits.
After starting his collegiate playing career at Suffolk University in 2018, Byrne transferred to Salem State University and played two seasons for the Vikings, starting all 50 games he appeared in. He shot 52.7 percent from the field as he averaged 13.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game at Salem State. During his senior year, he scored 10 or more points in 22 of 26 games, including a season-high 23 points at Elms.
Originally from Melrose, Mass., Byrne received his Bachelor of Science degree in media and communication from Salem State University in 2023.
