Ole Miss will hire Middle Tennessee State head coach Kermit Davis to replace Andy Kennedy according to a report this morning from Jon Rothstein. REPORT: Evansville Fires Head Basketball Coach Marty Simmons
According to a report by 14 News, Evansville has fired head basketball coach Marty Simmons. In his 11 seasons at the helm, the Evansville alum has amassed a 184-174 record. The Purple Aces were 17-15 (7-11 MVC) this past year. An official statement is expected tomorrow.

According to a report by Jon Rothstein, Georgia has offered their job to former Ohio State head coach Thad Matta. He would replace Mark Fox who was fired over the weekend after eight seasons with the Bulldogs. Matta spent 13 seasons at OSU (337-123) and was also the head coach at Butler (2000-01 – 24-8)
REPORT: Mark Gottfried expected to be named Head Basketball Coach at Cal State Northridge
According to an ESPN report, former NC State head coach Mark Gottfried is expected to be named as the next coach at Cal State Northridge. He would replace Reggie Theus who was fired last week. Gottfried, who was released at NC State following last season, had been working as a scout for the Dallas Mavericks
DI DIRT: Chicago State parts ways with Head Basketball Coach Tracy Dildy

Dildy had been the head coach at CSU for the past eight seasons where he compiled a 55-200 record including 3-29 (1-13 WAC) this season. BREAKING REPORT: Georgia to part ways with Mark Fox
ESPN has reported that Georgia has fired head coach Mark Fox after nine seasons. The Bulldogs lost Friday in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals and finished 18-15 overall, 7-11 in the SEC this season. Overall, Fox finished 163-133 in nine seasons in Athens. More on this breaking story as in develops.
