D2 DIRT: Texas A&M Kingsville set to open

According to a report from the Denton Chronicle, Texas A&M Kingsville head coach Johnny Estelle is set to become an assistant on Ross Hodge’s new staff at North Texas.

Estelle had spent the past 9 seasons at TAMUK, compiling a 137-112 (.550) record. Last season, he led his team to a 21-12 (14-8 LSC) mark. The Texas native has also served as an assistant at Houston, and as the head coach at Navarro College.
