Daily Dirt – 3/15/22

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

On the move today. Here are a few quick hitters…

Some search firm updates: Fogler has Missouri, DHR has Tulsa, and Parker has George Washington.

Early at George Washington, but some names to keep an eye on are Miami associate head coach Chris Caputo and Yale head coach James Jones. Obviously really early here though.

In case you missed my 60 Second Update last night…Utah assistant Eric Peterson is the leader at South Dakota. He was an assistant there from 2014-18. Also, Tennessee associate head coach Mike Schwartz will be the next head coach at East Carolina pending board approval (not a secret anymore).

Adding a name to the list at Maine. I’ve heard Xavier Silas’ name mentioned here a few times. The current G-League assistant (Motor City Cruise), played at Brewster Academy (NH), played for the Maine Red Claws (G-League), and had a cup of coffee with the Celtics. More on this search as I hear it.

Every day that goes by is another day closer to Maryland removing the interim tag from Danny Manning…

I can confirm that Zach Hortsman is no longer an assistant at North Dakota. He had been on the UND staff for the past three seasons, and spent the three years before that with Fighting Hawks head coach Paul Sather at Northern State.

I mentioned this one yesterday on Twitter…big move at the prep level as Northfield Mt. Hermon head coach John Carroll has stepped away. Big hit for the New England prep community. His statement is HERE.
