Most New England families head south for April vacation. Not the DirtKing and crew…we dragged the little DirtBags up to sunny Quebec City. Here are a few things that I’ve heard as we wait for the snow to stop…

• A couple names that I’ve heard from multiple sources surrounding assistant spots at Austin Peay are Tennessee Tech associate head coach Rick Cabrera, and former K-State and Maryland assistant Delonte Hill. Sounds like the staff could be finalized this week.

• I have heard that Texas Southern video coordinator Kevin Missouri is in the mix to head to Alabama A&M as an assistant coach. He has also worked at UAB and CSU Bakersfield.

• A name that I’ve now heard multiple times at DIII College of Mount Saint Vincent (NY) is James Mooney. He’s an MSV alum who is currently the head coach at Rye Neck HS (NY). Sounds like this one could be done soon.

• I have mentioned the search at Johns Hopkins a few times, and have had 7 out of the 8 Skype candidates. I’ve now heard from a great source that #8 is Skidmore head coach Joe Burke. The former assistant at Navy and Cornell has been at Skidmore since 2010.
