By qualifying for the NCAA Tournament, NC State head coach Mark Gottfried received an automatic two-year contract extension. The auto extension is part of the deal that he signed when he was hired last April. Gottfried now has six years remaining at an approximate $1.2 million per year. Also in his deal are bonuses for reaching the round of 16 ($62,500), the round of Eight ($125,000), the Final Four ($187,500), the championship game ($312,500) and winning the national title ($437,500).
