Kenny Anderson, the #2 pick in the 1991 NBA draft, has been named as the head men’s basketball coach at NAIA Fisk University in Nashville Tennessee. He replaces Larry Glover who will remain with the school as the Director of Athletics.
Anderson was a standout at Georgia Tech (1989-1991), where he was the 1989-90 ACC Rookie of the Year, and a first team All-American the following season. After being selected with the second overall pick by the New Jersey Nets in the 1991 draft, he went became an NBA All-Star in 1994 and played in the league until 2005. He scored over 10,000 points in his career while dishing out 5,196 assists.
Fisk held an introductory press conference earlier today, and is expected to release an official statement shortly.
