The Queens University of Charlotte men’s basketball team is pleased to announce the promotion of Grant Leonard to Associate Head Coach. Leonard has been with the program since 2013 helping the Royals reach successful seasons including this year’s run into the top 10 nationally.

“I want to congratulate Coach Leonard on his promotion,” said Head Coach Bart Lundy. “He has been with me here, at Queens, since the beginning two and half years ago, and has been instrumental in the development of our program into what is now a top team in the nation.  He always has the student-athlete’s best interest at heart on the court, in the class room and in their lives.  He does great work in helping develop them now and teaching valuable lessons that will last their entire lives.”

Leonard has brought a multitude of skills to the program including experience in recruiting, strength and conditioning, and as a defensive specialist. This season he has helped boost the team to a 14-2 overall record drawing national attention to the Royals’ program.
