Last week, Texas A&M Texarkana announced that head men’s basketball coach Ryan Wall would take over as the Director of Athletics as the college. With this move, Wall has stepped away from his coaching duties to focus on his full-time role as the AD.

I can now confirm through multiple sources that Wall will hire Jacksonville assistant coach Darion Brown as his replacement. In addition to his time at JU, Brown also served on the staff at both Nicholls State and South Alabama. He started his coaching career as a GA at Salem University (WVa).

The connection here…Brown played at NAIA Our Lady of the Lake back in the late 2010’s when Wall was the head coach there.
