According to an ESPN report, Stephen F. Austin will hire Texas A&M assistant Kyle Keller as their new head basketball coach. He would replace Brad Underwood who became the head coach at Oklahoma State back on March 21st. Keller would also be the second Texas A&M assistant to become a head coach in the past week – Rick Stansbury assumed the reigns at Western Kentucky this past Monday.
Keller has been on Billy Kennedy’s staff for the past five seasons. Before coming to Texas A&M he was a staffer at both Kansas and Oklahoma State. He also worked as the head coach at Tyler (TX) JC, and as an assistant at Louisiana Tech and UTSA.
More on this as it becomes official.
