HoopDirt.com has learned that the University of the Incarnate Word will hire Kenyon Spears as an assistant coach. Spears had spent the past two seasons as an assistant at LIU Brooklyn, and was not retained when former head coach Jack Perri was released earlier this spring. Before joining the LIU staff, Spears had been an assistant at New Orleans, Brown, and Wagner. He also spent two seasons coaching at his alma mater Lamar University. An official announcement is expected shortly.
