Washington Adventist University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Jerry McFarland has announced that he has added James Carlton former Howard University standout and long-time professional player to his staff. Carlton, who is the Founder and CEO of P.OP Sports and Carltonia, LLC, played in the NBA G-League after graduating from Howard.
“I am so excited to have the opportunity to bring Coach James Carlton whom I affectionately call by his nickname “JC” to our Shock family. Coach JC brings NBA G-League experience from the Oklahoma City Blue and Capital City Go-Go franchises as well as an excellent college career at Howard University. He is a 1st Team All-MEAC player that has spent the last two years as a basketball trainer in the DMV area. His ability to work with our post players will be an invaluable asset to our program moving forward” stated Coach McFarland.
