Major begins assembling staff
New UNC-Charlotte head coach Alan Major has started putting his staff together. I’ve heard that Boston University associate head coach Orlando Vandross was on campus Sunday and that he and Major met with players Sunday night. Herrion the choice at Marshall
Marshall has scheduled a 1:00 press conference for Saturday to introduce Tom Herrion as their new basketball coach. Herrion has been the Associate Head Coach at Pitt for the past three seasons. He does have previous head coaching experience serving as the head coach at The College of Charleston from 2002-2006 (80-38).

Cal Irvine hires Turner
Russell Turner has been named men’s basketball coach at UC Irvine. Turner has spent the past six seasons as an assistant at Golden State following stints as an assistant at Stanford and Wake Forest. He agreed to a five-year contract with an annual base salary of $205,000.
