I have confirmed through multiple sources that D3 Augustana College (IL) head men’s basketball coach Steve Schafer has resigned. An official announcement is expected shortly. Giovanine announces retirement after 21 seasons at D3 Augustana

After 21 seasons as Head Coach of the Augustana men’s basketball program, Grey Giovanine announced his retirement on Tuesday. Win #400 for Augustana’s Grey Giovanine

Augustana head coach Grey Giovanine won the 400th game of his career last night with a 76-58 victory over George Fox University.  Giovanine, who was named HoopDirt.com’s DIII Coach of the Week last week, won 80 games at Division I Lamar before his school-record 320 wins at Augustana.  Tabbed as the 2015 Basketball Times National Coach of the Year after
