I have heard from great sources that Western Kentucky assistant coach Nikita Johnson has become assistant at Austin Peay. He will replace Rick Cabrera who departed for Arkansas State earlier this spring. Johnson had been at WKU for the past two seasons. The search to replace Dave Loos at Austin Peay is ramping up, with on-campus interviews underway. I have now heard from multiple sources that VCU assistant coach Wes Long interviewed yesterday. Word on the street is that Long is option #1, and is weighing his options now that Will Wade has departed VCU for LSU.
