Two former NCAA Division I head coaches have been hired to scouting positions by the Los Angles Clippers. Paul Hewitt has become an NBA Pro Scout, and Donnie Jones has accepted a role as a College Scout.
Hewitt has been the head coach at Siena (1997-2000), Georgia Tech (2000-2011), and George Mason (2011-2015). He owns a 322-256 career record. Hewitt also won the ACC Coach of the Year Award in 2001, and the MAAC Coach of the Year Award in 2000.
Jones was most recently the head coach at Central Florida (2010-16) where he compiled a a 100-88 record. Jones also spent three seasons as the head coach at Marshall (55-41), and was an assistant at Florida for eleven seasons.
