I have just heard from very good sources that Brian Wardle will be hired as the head coach at UWGB. Wardle has been an assistant at UWGB since 2005 and was the director of ops at Marquette before that. He played for Tom Crean at Marquette, and led Golden Eagles in scoring as a sophomore,
New England rumors…..
Two quick rumors from the New England area: New Boston College assistant John Gallagher is at the top of the short list at Hartford. He was the associate head coach there before moving on to Penn (and recently BC). Sounds like they may be moving quickly on this one. If this falls through, UConn assistant
Wake Forest staff
New Wake head coach Jeff Bdzelik has begun the process of hiring his staff. From what I’ve heard, he’s not taking anyone from his previous staff at Colorado with him. Current Wake assistants Jeff Battle and Rusty LaRue are expected to be retained. Also, Georgia operations coordinator Mark Pope is expected to join the staff.
UWGB finalists
Wisconsin-Green Bay has narrowed the field to four finalists for it’s men’s basketball job. Athletic director Ken Bothof has finished the interview process, and will meet with the chancellor and search committee as early as today to discuss who will be offered the job. Assistants on the move…….
A few things that I picked up while on the phone yesterday….. Cornell assistant Woody Kampmann will be joining Steve Donahue’s staff at Boston College as the Director of Basketball Operations. UPDATE: Clemson makes it official – Brownell hired

Major begins assembling staff
New UNC-Charlotte head coach Alan Major has started putting his staff together. I’ve heard that Boston University associate head coach Orlando Vandross was on campus Sunday and that he and Major met with players Sunday night.
