HoopDirt.com 2018-19 NAIA Coach of the Year presented by Just Play Solutions

Georgetown College Head Basketball Coach Chris Briggs has been named as the HoopDirt.com NAIA Coach of the Year presented by Just Play Solutions for the 2018-19 college basketball season. Briggs qualified for the award by being named as the HoopDirt.com/Just Play Solutions Coach of the Week for Week 15 of the season.

This past season, Briggs’ Tigers went 33-4 and captured the 2018-19 NAIA DI National Championship. This was the second National Championship for Briggs – he won the title in 2012-13 as well.

Georgetown also won the 2018-19 Mid-South Conference regular season title and conference tournament, and finished with a perfect 19-0 home record. The Tigers opened the season with an eleven game winning streak, and wrapped it up by winning their last ten in a row.

For his efforts this season, Briggs also received the NAIA DI National Coach of the Year Award. It was the second time in his career that he has received this honor.
