HoopDirt.com 2019-20 NAIA Coach of the Year presented by Just Play Solutions

College of Idaho Head Basketball Coach Colby Blaine has been named as the HoopDirt.com NAIA Coach of the Year presented by Just Play Solutions for the 2019-20 college basketball season. Blaine qualified for the award by being named as the HoopDirt.com/Just Play Solutions Coach of the Week for Week 6 of the season.

Coach Blaine led the College of Idaho on a historic campaign this past season, finishing 31-3 and setting multiple records in the process. The Yotes closed out the season on a school-record 25-game winning streak and became the first team in Cascade Conference history to go unbeaten in league play.

Blaine’s squad was ranked atop the NAIA DII Coaches’ Poll from February 19th through the end of the season. They entered the NAIA DII National Championship as the top seed and won their first match-up on March 11th before the season was cut short.

On Friday, Coach Blaine was honored as the NAIA Division II Men’s Coach of the Year. In his two seasons as head coach at C of I, Blaine has compiled a record of 62-9.
